Baby Alpaca Fiber

“Baby Alpaca fiber” is a grading term for the very fine, soft wool taken from the first shearing or softest undercoat areas (neck, chest, “blanket”) of an alpaca, usually produced in the Andes of Peru and neighboring countries. It refers to fiber fineness (micron count), not to wool coming from a baby animal.
